Tarkamt
"Death Takes A Vacation"
From Live At The Necropolis
For the past 20 years Cairo based composer and multi-instrumentalist Cherif El-Masri has played in Egyptian groups Eskenderella, Procession Towards The Unknown and Nadah El-Shazly’s touring band. Since 2012 he’s been a member of The Invisible Hands, co-founded with Alan Bishop. El-Masri’s solo project Tarkamt combines analogue electronics, electroacoustic processes and free improvisation, as heard on 2018 debut album Live At The Necropolis. He is currently working on its sequel, as well as Invisible Hands’ third album.
