Born in 1975, Joachim Nordwall aka The Idealist is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Through his iDEAL Recordings label, he has worked with CM von Hausswolff, Aaron Dilloway, Mika Vainio, Mats Gustafsson, Leif Elggren, Gabi Losoncy, Mark Wastell and Christine Abdelour. His own groups include psych-drone duo Alvars Orkester, Kid Commando (1999–2005), followed by The Skull Defekts (until 2018) and extreme noise rock unit Orchestra Of Constant Distress. He has released his music via labels like Entr’acte, Ash International and Hospital Productions.
