The Mighty Ur began in 2016 as a solo drone project by AC Monks. In 2017 he got together with author, poet and playwright Steve McAuliffe to combine spoken word with music on the Rejecting Soma LP. This quickly became a more permanent arrangement with a series of releases including live jams and collaborations with various musicians and artists. Jason Pearce has provided advice and the majority of the artwork (@jazon/linktree). Their new LP Take It On The Chin is concerned with the current chaotic political situation.
