Philip Samartzis is a sound artist who explores the social and environmental conditions informing remote wilderness regions and their communities. His practice is based on deep fieldwork to capture phenomena occurring at the margins of our planet. Percussionist, composer and conductor Eugene Ughetti is the founding artistic director of Speak Percussion; he has worked with Pierre Boulez, Liza Lim, Steve Reich and John Zorn.
