Insub Meta Orchestra (IMO) are a large ensemble centred upon experimental and electroacoustic practice. Founded in 2010 by Swiss percussionist Cyril Bondi and Laurent Peter aka d’incise, they have around 50 permanent members. With individual gestures subsumed into the production of global sonic states, their music blurs the boundaries of composition and improvisation, exploring themes of duration, silence and near silence, and non-hierarchical relations.
