RAIC (Richmond Avant Improv Collective) formed in Richmond, Virginia in 2015. Their five primary members collaborate with an extensive pool of improvisors, numbering more than 100 players over the span of ten albums and countless live shows exploring jazz, shoegaze, black metal, noise, film music, classical, ambient and rock. This track from their tenth album Gestalt is inspired by Rahsaan Roland Kirk and features Erik Schroeder, Sam Byrd, Fred McGann, Jimmy Ghaphery and Richard Schellenberg.
