Kondi Band feature Los Angeles based producer and DJ Chief Boima, London’s Will LV and Sorie Kondi, who was born blind in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Building a name for himself as a street musician after Sierra Leone’s decade-long civil war ended in 2002, he adopted the name of his instrument, a custom-made 15-pin thumb piano, known as the kondi. Chief Boima recorded with Kondi on the 2017 album Salone, and has expanded the line-up to include UK producer Will Horrocks, who is one half of production duo LV.
