Ybalferran is an alias of Blażej Kotowski, a Polish sound artist, musician and researcher currently based in Barcelona. Moving between the territories of drone, neoclassical and noise, the project blends richly textured synth drones with subtle field recordings to create soundscapes with an intimate atmosphere. In contrast to its predecessors’ measured pace, Ybalferran’s fourth album Karadi incorporates more erratic structures inspired by the deconstructed genres of contemporary electronica.
