The idea of a collaborative album emerged after chameleonic doom veterans Boris and industrial punk/metal group Uniform toured the US together in 2019. Separated by the pandemic, the groups spent the next year swapping song ideas and recordings from their respective home studios to craft music that matched the power of their live performances. With modular synth arpeggios and scathing vocals, “Narcotic Shadow” spotlights just one facet of the resulting album.
