Located between Brighton, Hampshire, Los Angeles and New York, The God In Hackney take a similarly wide-ranging approach to genre. Their recent third album The World In Air Quotes encompasses sparse art rock, jazz, drum ’n’ bass, folk and industrial in songs grappling with technology, isolation and climate change. Core members Andy Cooke, Dan Fox, Ashley Marlowe and Nathaniel Mellors moonlight in the visual arts, electronic music and roofing trades; Fox co-directed Other, Like Me: The Oral History Of COUM Transmissions.
