Composer, improvisor and multi-instrumentalist Nick Dunston explores ancestral memory, materiality, decolonisation and Afro-surrealism in his music. Active in both New York and Berlin, he has collaborated with Marc Ribot, Lucrecia Dalt, Mary Halvorson and Tyshawn Sorey, as well as releasing several albums under his own name. On Skultura, his double bass joins Cansu Tanrıkulu (vocals/ effects/electronics), Mariá Portugal (drums), Liz Kosack (synthesizer) and Eldar Tsalikov (alto sax/clarinet) in spontaneous exchanges, sonic manipulations and sample-inspired meditations.
