“Laredo” is one of 16 previously unheard recordings taken from Suicide co-founder Martin Rev’s cassette archive. Including embryonic versions of several tracks that later appeared in both the duo’s catalogue and Rev’s solo work, they feature the archetypal – and hugely influential – Martin Rev sound, with overdriven organ riffs and skeletal drum machines, yet also nod back to his formative teenage rock ’n’ roll years in New York.
