Comprising Zeno Gabaglio (electric cello), Luca Xelius Martegani (analogue synthesizers) and El Toxyque (amplified objects), the Italian-Swiss trio Niton formed in 2013. In addition to the albums Niton, Tiresias and Cemento/Cemento 3D, they have created soundtracks for film, theatre and art installations. The title of new album NITON 11 references its 11 guest artists, who alongside saxophonist John Butcher include vocalist Meryem Aboulouafa, poet Vanni Bianconi and percussionist Julian Sartorius.
