Open Symmetry by the New York based composer Tristan Perich is a 50 minute work for three vibraphones and 20-channel 1-bit electronics. Performed by a pared down trio from the French group ensemble 0, the vibraphones’ resonant metal bars are accompanied by 20 speakers, each playing its own pulsating electronic part to create a scintillating minimalist array.
