A modern day oratorio conceived by Pavel Tchikov of Ogives, playwright Jean Vangebeergen and former The Ex frontman GW Sok, That Moment is an adaptation of the eponymous text by Moldavian writer Nicoleta Esinencu. Taking an incident of familial violence as a cue to satirise pervasive corruption in capitalist society, the seven song suite mixes a contemporary classical string quartet with Tchikov’s harsh modular synths and Sok’s sardonic spoken word vocals.
