R/A/D is the Parisian meeting of California born singer and writer Brisa Roché and Prohibited Records co-founder Nicolas Laureau, one third of NLF3 and also known as Don Nino. Mixing song and narration with dense and unsettling atmospherics created by Laureau’s abrasive guitar drones, Outta Sight is oppressive yet exploratory, taking cues from Loren Connors’s abstract blues and Throbbing Gristle’s sonic provocations, while Roché’s vocals unite the suppleness of her jazz background with Karen Dalton’s rawness. r-a-d.bandcamp.com, prohibitedrecords.com
