Below The Radar 14

Track 16

"Out Of Any Symmetry"

from the release Violetshaped

Artist statement:

Violetshaped is the duo formed by the enigmatic Violet Poison and Shapednoise, a member of the Repitch crew. They released their debut album named just Violetshaped in March 2013, plus a cassette album for each on Vatican Shadow's label Hospital Productions.

They collaborated with experimental artists like Roly Porter, Vatican Shadow and Kangding Ray for the first volume of the Violetshaped Remixes.

For the new Below The Radar compilation they chose a track from their debut album. "Out Of Any Symmetry" is one of the sickest tracks of the LP: inspired by a breakdown of a genetics laboratory in Tbilisi caused by metaphysical phenomena, the track might have the spirit of 90's cyberpunk music, early 80's industrial and modular-based experimental music but with that immortal punk/dark attitude that is making Modern Techno greater.

Violetshaped has announced that they will release the second volume of Violetshaped Remixes in September. The 12" will feature reworks by North-America's experimental composer Keith Fullerton Whitman, German Raster Noton's artist Grischa Lichtenberger and British Industrial/Metal hero Justin Broadrick under his JK Flesh pseudonym.

Furthermore, Shapednoise will be out on Opal Tapes in August with an experimental noise techno release while Violet Poison recently released a sinister proto-techno 12" on Prurient/Alberich's Bed Of Nails Compound imprint.
