Manchester based producer Acre

"Blood Artist"

From Interference

Acre & Filter Dread’s Interference is the first release on the Pan sublabel Codes – the joint project of Pan’s Bill Kouligas and Visionist aka Louis Carnell’s Lost Codes label. Acre & Filter Dread is a collaboration between Manchester producer Acre and London based producer Filter Dread. Acre has previously worked with Lost Codes, Pinch’s Cold Recordings, Techtonic, and Facta and K-Lone's new Wisdom Teeth label. Filter Dread has also released music on Lost Codes, as well as No Corner and Ramp Recordings.

Of the release, Codes states: “The pair’s EP updates 8-bit grime, warehouse rave and dark bass with hypermodern sound design and bastard club rhythms. Rather than rely on mimicry, they contort familiar aesthetics, giving rise to the baroque, processional gloom of “Drumz 34”, the bassbin elasticity of “Flash Speed”, and the modem drones of “Trashed” (for the steppers).”
