Author & Punisher aka Tristan Shone has released five albums to date, the first two, The Painted Army and Warcry EP, by himself. Shone studied sculpture at the University of California, where he started making his own kit to produce music. His third album Drone Machines was named after the self-made device used to make it. He also developed and worked on the Dub Machines for his Ursus Americanus album.

About “Future Man”, Shone says: “I’d like to think it is a good representation of both the album and our status as humans, where drone, dissonance and desperation combine with the smallest hint of melody, harmony and light.”
