Chicago group Mako Sica are guitarist/trumpeter Przemyslaw Drazek and vocalist/guitarist Brent Fuscaldo. Their growing list of collaborators here includes the percussionist Hamid Drake. A collage of Eastern induced longform hypnotism, their first recording Ronda (Astral Spirits/Feeding Tube) features mostly wordless vocals interspersed with FX trumpet over Drake's pulses. On Balancing Tear, their inner muse is scattershot even further in all directions.
