Novas Frequências describe Bestiarium as a “slightly obscure project of improvisational-ritualistic musical therapy. Bestiarium uses classical instruments, such as the violin, the cello or the double bass to evoke noises and agonizing scratches. Other objects like ERM vibration engines, scordatura and extra long screws are used as alternative instrumental elements in the bringing of this imaginary of the bestiarium or of dragons and monsters – a description that they have taken from a Jorge Luís Borges quote. Based in Recife, Bestiarium’s members are Hugo Medeiros, Henrique Vaz, Marcelo Campello and Albertu Silva.
