Brighton's Colour Out Of Space festival this November played host to a special panel at the Hope & Ruin on the state of broadcasting and the legacy of freeform radio. Joining Derek Walmsley on the panel were Brian Turner and Fabio Roberti of New Jersey's WFMU, independent curator and broadcaster Bronac Ferran who hosts the programme Making Conversations on London arts broadcaster Resonance FM, Luke Younger aka Helm, who DJs monthly on online station NTS, and Daniel De Wereldvermaarde Botanicus, a veteran on Antwerp institution Radio Centraal.
The latest edition of Colour Out Of Space, put together as ever by Chocolate Monk and Michael Sippings, took part from 18-20 November with experimental and far out sounds and performances in and around Brighton, with an extended programme of art actitives running throughout the month.
