In September 2006, The Wire decamped to the Empty Bottle venue in Chicago to host the fourth edition of its Adventures In Modern Music festival, which featured 20 acts over five nights of outsider music action.

This edition of the Clear Spot show on Resonance 104.4FM features highlights from the festival, cherry picking the best moments from the sets by Jandek, Om, Subtle, Edan, Yellow Swans, Hive Mind, Spires That In The Sunset Rise, Paul Flaherty, and William Parker & Hamid Drake.

The show is hosted by The Wire's Tony Herrington and the recordings were made by the late Malachi Ritscher. Originally broadcast in February 2007.
