Philadelphia improvisor and composer Tim Motzer has evolved a textural guitar style that utilises looping, bowing, electronics and prepared techniques. Over the last 20 years he has performed on more than 80 albums. Alongside his solo work, his projects include Orion Tango, Goldbug and Instant Takemitsu, and collaborations with David Sylvian, Burnt Friedman, Jaki Liebezeit, Ursula Rucker, King Britt and Jamaaladeen Tacuma. In 2016–17 he worked with improvising trio Bandit65 featuring guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel and drummer Gintas Janusonis.
