Under the direction of Pierre-Antoine Badaroux, Paris based Umlaut Big Band explore the historical repertoire of big bands, based on recorded archives and manuscripts, revealing rare and never before heard works by Don Redman and Mary Lou Williams. The band have also commissioned new music from the likes of Jean-Luc Guionnet and Alexander Von Schlippenbach.
