With stylistic nods to Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane, Scaring The Mice For Revenge brings together four longtime friends who have never previously recorded as a quartet. Formerly the two halves of The Berg Sans Nipple, Jérôme Lorichon and Shane Aspegren reunite, while the parallel careers of prolific collaborators Nicolas Laureau (NLF3) and Quentin Rollet finally converge. Helmed by sound engineer Johannes Buff, the session was recorded in one take with no overdubs.
