Farida Amadou is a self-taught bass player based in Brussels, working across blues, jazz, hiphop and improvisation and with a signature crunchy, distorted sound that draws upon her time with the Belgian punk band Cocaine Piss. As well as recording solo albums, she has collaborated with musicians including Steve Noble, Peter Brötzmann and Thurston Moore, and guested with Jerusalem In My Heart and Moor Mother.
