Hailing from the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, producer Abel Fontange aka Shazdown Mmw explores the rhythms of bouyon. Expanding the fast tempo genre with rap and electro influences, he draws inspiration from Dominican bouyon pioneers Triple Kay and WCK and Guadeloupe’s J2mo. His music, he says, is “rich in cultures”.
