Exclusive remix of MC Yallah & Eomac's “Mama Waliwamanyii”

July 2020

Hear a new reworking of the lead single from MC Yallah's latest release

“Yallah is known for her tongue twisting delivery” writes Stephanie Phillips in The Wire 438, “bringing forth empowering sentiments and boastful rhymes with a confident snarl. Ever able to cater to her community, she can sing in four different languages, including Luganda, Luo, Swahili and English.”

Yallah's Wire interview coincides with the release of the Kenyan, Uganda based MC's latest tracks, created remotely with Irish producer Eomac and released by Phantom Limb. The 12" titled Mama Waliwamanyii sees the Nyege Nyege associated artist deliver two new vocal sessions, with the lead single being an ode to her late mother. Here, Eomac presents a reworking of that track, splicing up Yallah's words to create new forms.
