Toulouse drone outfit release an album of recordings made on the Church of Notre-Dame de la Dalbade's Puget organ

Toulouse drone duo Saåad’s new album is based on their Puget organ recordings made at the Church of Notre-Dame de la Dalbade in June 2014. Called Verdaillon, it is the end product of a commission by Les Orgues festival, and it also incorporates field recordings Saåad’s Gregory Buffier and Romain Barbot amassed during their two day residency at the church. “Saåad always integrate a lot of field recording with a kind of mystic of the resonance of different places in their music,” says Guillaume Heuguet, co-founder of In Paradisum, the Parisian label releasing the album. “But this is the first time it's at the centre of a record and not buried in layers of sound.”

Saåad’s past albums include Orbs & Channels (2013) and Deep Float (2014), both released by Hands In The Dark. Verdaillon will be released by In Paradisum on 15 September.
