This solo contrabass recording by Yair Elazar Glotman (aka Ketev) was made on 18 August at the musician’s home studio in Berlin. Glotman says this live set “works at the crossroads between improvisation and composed material,” and is derived from his most recent album Études (out on Subtext), consisting of ten solo contrabass pieces that utilise the instrument’s hidden resonances, physical vibrations and overall acoustic dynamic range.

During 2015, Glotman, both under his real name and the Ketev moniker, is a participating artist of the SHAPE platform for innovative music and audiovisual art. As part of the project, he will perform at various festivals in the following months: The Hague’s TodaysArt (25 September), Graz’s Musikprotokoll (8 October), Marseille's RIAM (17) and Ljubljana's Sonica (213 November).
