The German producer shares a new playlist focusing on microtonality, taking in Ellen Fullman, Mark Fell, Maggi Payne, James Tenney and more
Berlin based electronic producer DJ Phillip Sollmann recently took a break from his techno project Efdemin to work on Monophonie, a new release that explores the custom built instruments pioneered by Hermann von Helmholtz, Harry Partch and Harry Bertoia. In support of this, Sollmann has recorded a mix, uniting a host of other minimal composers that helped inspire his latest work.
