Turkish electronic sound artist Ipek Gorgun is releasing her second solo album Ecce Homo via the experimental London label Touch. Based in Istanbul and currently enrolled at the University's Center For Advanced Studies In Music, Gorgun self-released her first album Aphelion in 2016, which was quickly reissued by Touch. She went on to collaborate with Ceramic TL aka Egyptrixx on an EP in 2017.
The phrase Ecce Homo, meaning 'behold the man', appears in the New Testament at Christ's crucifixion and is frequently adopted as a title in Christian art. Gorgun's sonic interpretation of the phrase explores beauty and terror at the hands of man and the space and conflict between man and nature.
Ecce Homo is released via Touch on 7 September and is now available to pre-order
