Avant-garde vocalist Patty Waters's 2018 performance at First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn was her first New York show in fifteen years. Hosted by Blank Forms, the concert brought together Waters's original pianist Burton Greene as well as bassist Mario Pavone and percussionist Barry Altschul, both well known for playing in Paul Bley's ensemble. The show was spontaneously dedicated to the pianist Cecil Taylor, who had passed away moments before Waters took to the stage.
Live is released on 20 September by Blank Forms Editions
