Raster-noton has published a major book looking back on 20 years of sound and design operations. Source Book 1 comprises a visual catalogue of all the label’s releases, prefaced by the label’s Olaf Bender and Carsten Nicolai in conversation with Max Dax. The heavyweight book is accompanied by a new CD, the fourth in their archiv series, a run which began back in 2003 with a disc given away with The Wire.
Source Book 1 is published in a limited edition of 1000 copies, and it’s characterised by a modular design that allows the reader to remove, exchange or add pages, making it possible to update the content as time passes. It's out now.
