UK multi-instrumentalist Aaron Moore and Norwegian experimental musician Erik K Skodvin first started collaborating in 2012. Since then they’ve maintained a continuous working relationship, albeit remotely, with Skodvin’s label Miasmah releasing Moore's work with Volcano The Bear in a 2015 box set.

The pair make music together by exchanging solo improvisations on piano, cello, drums, harp, vocals and homemade instruments via email. This file sharing eventually led to the completion of their first LP together, Instead Of Rain I Bring A Hat, due to be released on 6 July via the French label Hands In The Dark.
