American born, Berlin based vocalist Audrey Chen is releasing her next solo album on Karlrecords. Chen is a frequent collaborator – previous releases and performances have seen her work with musicians such as Phil Minton, Maria Chavez, Nate Wooley, Dylan Nyoukis and others. More recently she has concentrated on solo work, largely focussing on her voice experiments. According to the label, Runt Vigor aims to be unsettling, “creating a kind of curiously imagined architecture, non-prosaic song or ritual that reaches beyond gravity or language”.

Runt Vigor is released by Karlrecords on 21 September.
