Along with Roni Size, DJ Krust was a key player in Bristol's Reprazent drum 'n' bass collective and the Full Cycle and V Records labels. Krust's 1994 track "Jazz Note" on Size's Full Cycle label, signalled the beginning of the more melodic, overtly jazz-infected school of drum 'n' bass, and then his 1997 12" "Warhead" signposted the brutal route that led to robotic two-step style of later years.
