Wire Mix: Belia Winnewisser

February 2019

The Lucerne based artist shares a new mix on the eve of Oto Nove Swiss II fest at London’s Cafe Oto

Swiss musician Belia Winnewisser’s first solo album Radikale Akzeptanz was released in 2018 by Lucerne imprint Präsens Editionen. The experimental label, along with associated music venues Südpol and Bad Bonn, is responsible for engineering Oto Nove Swiss, a three day event held at London's Cafe Oto starting on 21 February. For the second year running the Lucerne team and guest curators L'Amalgame Yverdon, Cave12 and Spezialmaterial bring together a selection of “adventurous artists” from the UK and Switzerland.

Winnewisser will appear alongside Norbert Möslang, Janiv Oron and Lolina. The long weekend will also feature sets from ASDA, and Feldermelder. Here, synth pop and sound art enthusiast Winnewisser compiles music by some of those acts, as well as tracks that have inspired her recently. Her set, she says, will feature “lots of new stuff, it's a new set. I'm curious too.”
