Hungarian computer music composer shares a new mix ahead of his forthcoming performance at Berlin Atonal festival
This year Gábor Lázár marked his return to Boomkat’s Death Of Rave imprint with the May release of his third solo record. On Unfold, he mutates and deconstructs elements of electro, techno, grime and 2-step to build his own hybrid productions. Though the album notably shifts towards something slightly more dancefloor suited, it’s still very much a continuation of his previous experimental, glitchy tracks, including those featured on The Neurobiology Of Moral Decision Making, his 2015 album collaboration with Mark Fell. Unfold will be presented as an audiovisual piece at Berlin’s Atonal festival (22–26 August).
This new mix includes some tracks from the album alongside work by artists whom Lázár refers to as “spectrally unique” and rhythmically virtuoso”.
