Tomorrow’s Warriors Presents Harlem Renaissance

A day of music, dance and discussion in celebration of the Black intellectual and creative movement that emerged one hundred years ago in 1920s New York. Comprising a panel discussion with Margaret Busby, Kevin Le Gendre, Soweto Kinch and Bonnie Greer (Purcell Room, 2pm) and Nu Civilisation performing Duke Ellington's A Tone Parallel To Harlem and Black, Brown And Beige, as well as The Blackbird Of Harlem - a new work narrated by Greer with choreography by Valerie Ebuwa telling the story of artist and activist Florence Mills (QEH, 13, 7:30pm).
