RIP! I knew it was coming, but still very sad. He'll be missed! His performance space will be missed!

Phill was one of great pillars of new and experimental music in New York, keeping his space going in a continual fight against the real estate crooks. There is something about turning up year after year.
By rigorous documentation (particularly the early stuff, when filming the workers of the old East block) he has left an extraordinary record of physical work and skill - what it means to use and think with ones hands - worth considering as we sit like reductive zombies in front of our computers.
