Enlightenment for Children

Via the Haunted Weather blog and Zero G Sound, German-language recordings from the radio series Enlightenment for Children, written by the philosopher Walter Benjamin between 1929-1932. The broadcasts, which numbered about 30, introduced the youth of the time to a variety of natural catastrophes such as the 1755 Lisbon earthquake, the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79, along with the more current issues of the day such as prohibition and bootlegging.
