Listen to Lucy's new album in full, released today via Stroboscopic Artefacts
Berlin based Italian producer Luca Mortellaro aka Lucy releases his third album Self Mythology today via his Stroboscopic Artefacts label. The album follows 2011's Wordplay For Working Bees and 2014's Churches, Schools, and Guns. The sleeve was designed by Lucy’s brother Ignazio Mortellaro and several of its tracks refer to legends and fairytales.
Lucy takes Self Mythology on the road for three live dates, involving, according to a Stroboscopic Artefacts statement, "the deft electronic maneuvres and percussive flourishes of Lucy, the hyper-real scenography of Ignazio Mortellaro (aka Oblivious Artefacts) and Jon Jacobs’ entrancing contributions of improvised vocalisation, flute and additional percussion […] For these shows, the trio of performers will be situated within a ‘vision chamber’, having transparent projection screens both in front of and behind their performance stations, allowing a perception of overlapping realities to take hold within the audience."
You can pre-order the album via Stroboscopic Artefacts.
