Gamble grew up in Birmingham where he was exposed to techno and jungle. Both, he tells Rory Gibb in The Wire 366, were “part of the soundscape in the areas I was hanging about in”. He learnt to DJ on a friend’s decks, and by the age of 16 he was spinning on a local pirate radio station and making tracks – releasing a pair of jungle 12"s under a pseudonym while still a teenager.
After moving to London in his twenties, Gamble set up the Cyrk collective with a group of friends, hosting regular club nights that presented laptop improvisors alongside dance DJs. His regular collaborators include the designer Dave Gaskarth on visuals, and the London based composer John Wall.
Lee Gamble’s Kuang EP will be released by Pan in August; his album KOCH will be released by Pan in September

I would like to know what station he supposedly played on back then, and what this mythical release was. This guy is gassed.
