Stream the sounds of Sculpture’s new 5" zoetrope picture disc

November 2019

UK audiovisual duo Sculpture meets London label Psyché Tropes for a “post-transitory broadcast in reductionist methodology”. Stream each 1.33 second loop as well as a remix by Philip Jeck

Electronic producer Dan Hayhurst and visual artist Reuben Sutherland's latest release under their Sculpture moniker features 26 locked grooves. Called Projected Music, the 5" picture disc is designed for use as a malleable audio tool. “In the possession of two or more discs,” says label founder Steven McInerney, “the listener can interact with a modular album whereby the source material is open to interpretation. With the expansive nature of the turntable, there are almost limitless possibilities.”

The disc, now available to pre order, also comes with a download series of remixes by artists such as Maria Chavez, Mariam Rezaei, Graham Dunning, and others.

Psyché Tropes will host an album launch at The Old Baths in Hackney Wick, East London, on 29 November. The programme includes Sculpture plus support from Janek Schaefer and Mariam Rezaei, as well a special performance featuring 26 turntables for 26 locked grooves.
