Wire Mix: Black Zone Myth Chant

September 2017

Black Zone Myth Chant presents a mix for The Wire featuring tracks by Ø, Wolf Eyes, Sun Ra and more

Maxime Primault, French musician formerly known as High Wolf, and now as Black Zone Myth Chant, works taking influence from psychedelia and jazz to create drone-heavy tracks. He is set to release two records before the year is out, an album named Feng Shen via Low Jack's label Editions Gravats, and a 12" with Shelter Press. He also continues to work with European music and arts platform SHAPE and will appear at UH festival, Unsound and Schiev festival this autumn.

Primault says, “This mix shows what I'm into right now. Mostly revisiting older stuff, of all kinds: raw electronic music, radical use of synthesizers, hypnotic music, some darkish and some more 'solar'. Add a bit of emotional ambient and weird ass hip hop and you've got all the elements that influence my newest work as BZMC.”
