To mark the release of her first solo album in ten years, Interdimensional Transmissions co-founder and Ectomorph member Erika shares a recording of a three hour live mix. Plus, read The Wire's 1999 interview with Ectomorph on our online library for free.
Detroit producer and DJ Erika Sherman started work with electro project Ectomorph in 1997, joining Brendan M Gillen (who originally founded the group with Drexciya's Gerald Donald in 1994), with whom she has since run electro label Interdimensional Transmissions. Sherman's second solo album Anevite Void collects tracks that have been shaped through live experimentation and by the sci-fi mythology created by the producer. This mix was recorded live at the Interdimensional Transmissions event Samhain XXII, which took place in Detroit in October 2022.
