Listen to a discussion with Lustmord from Unsound New York 2012

August 2012

Listen to Lustmord (aka Brian Williams) in conversation with Andy Battaglia, discussing Trinity, a work for which he and Biosphere traveled to Los Alamos, New Mexico, to create a composition loosely themed around the early atomic bomb tests conducted there.

Dark Ambient pioneer Lustmord worked with Biosphere (aka Geir Jenssen) on a project commissioned by Unsound to create a sound work based on nuclear weapons research in the American desert, and the first atomic bomb explosion near Los Alamos in July, 1945. The result, Trinity, premiered at Unsound Festival in New York and will be performed again at Unsound in Krakow in October, 2012.

This talk was part of the Unsound LABS series, presented by Unsound and The Wire, at the Wyoming Building space of New York's Goethe-Institut. Unsound Festival New York took place 18–22 April, 2012.
