Dawood's directorial debut, Piercing Brightness, is a science fiction influenced film about a group of extraterrestrials who land on Earth and investigate the day-to-day goings on in Preston, Lancashire. Much of Piercing Brightness features music by Acid Mothers Temple and their leader Makoto Kawabata, with contributions by Alexander Tucker's Decomposed Orchestra.
